Vaccine Tourism in Guam
So this is interesting, I thought I would share a few weeks ago Guam launched a program for vaccine tourism targeting American expats in Asia. So on their press release they said, you know, there's 750, 000 American expats in Asia. And since they have abundant access to American vaccines, they want to benefit from this vaccine tourism. So they set up a program where you fly to Guam, which is a US territory. And you do a test beforehand, you do six days of quarantine , you do a test after. And then they give you a free vaccine, which I thought was really, really interesting. They also put you up in the quarantine hotel for free. I guess what they're hoping for is like, it gets them responsible, vaccinated tourists. You can pick whatever vaccine you want. Like if you do the Johnson & Johnson, you can just immediately fly back wherever, or I guess they're hoping that you'll do another vaccine and stay for three or four weeks in between. I thought that was really interesting. I don't know. I'm not sure. Times are quite desperate enough to consider it, but it's interesting that it's happening. There's still only, you know, like three or four cases a day on the island. So I guess there's not really any drawbacks to it. There's some people with more money than time that might think that's a good deal. Who knows? I just thought I would share since it was really interesting. interesting.
